NORTH CENTRAL DISTRICT VETERANS SERVICE COMMITTEE PROGRAM

To All Lodge Chairmen and Committee Members, Veterans Service Committee

Congratulations for accepting the position of Chairperson or Committee Member for your Lodge Veterans Service Committee. We have in the United States a growing number of Veterans that have served our Country. I know you would not have taken this important job if you did not feel as I do, that as Elks we must carry out our 1946 promise to all our veterans and their families, that: “So long as there are veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them.”

Please click on the link below for the Aims and Goals of the CHEA National Veterans Service Chairman, Frank Chicago Frank Chicago. Please note that one additional program is the re-introduction of the Michael Manning National Veterans Program. Shortly, donation cans, will arrive at each Lodge. All cans are to be distributed into your local “mom and pop” stores, delis, etc. by however many Elks you can get to take charge of a can or cans. Each Elk will be in charge of that can for one year.  This will require each volunteer to pick up the money earned in their can on a monthly or bi-weekly basis. The money will then be pooled together with the other members within their Lodge and deposited according to the coin program instructions that will accompany the cases.

If you are a Lodge Chairmen, and have not already done so, please complete the Elks Veterans Programs Questionnaire (at the link below) and forward that back to me as soon as possible, so I can determine how I might be of further service to you and your programs.
