Officers Training - Gary McCoy - Chair

Mission: To provide an informative questionnaire program for the use of the District Leaders and local Officer Training Chairmen in developing a Lodge Officer Training Program. To provide answers to the questions and indicate the referenced publication to support the official policy of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks. To annually update the questionnaire to reflect current changes to official policies. Tests are taken on line by going to Elks.org.

Sign into elks.org and go to Members drop down menu. Click the icon and pick Member news from the drop-down menu. This will take you to your member’s page. Scroll down and on the right will be the officer tests icon.

Once the test(s) have been taken and passed you will be added to the Grand Lodge Honor Roll. Print your certificate of accomplishment. Give a copy to your Officer Training Chairperson.

If you are not a registered member on elks.org, please do so ASAP. By having access to our Grand Lodge webpage, the entire world of Elkdom is at your disposal.

Goals:
1. To provide Lodge Officers with a ready reference to many re-occurring questions that arises in the daily operation of the Lodge.
2. To assist Lodge Officers to effectively respond to the challenges they encounter when interpreting management procedures and practices.
3. To ensure that the subjects of the questionnaires are of a challenging nature and the answers are supported by reference to Grand Lodge Statutes and published manuals, including Roberts Rules of Order.
